About Silks
In the late 1970’s my first art classes taught me to visualize shapes and sizes in the placement of ideas on the drawing paper, later I learned to apply some of these ideas in creating my silk floral arrangements. Flowers are my passion and through years of hard work and dedication, I have developed my own style and I am delighted to share this knowledge with you, to provide you with a place to explore silk floral designs and arrangements and to see the different ways flowers can bring meaningful enjoyment to your life. Studies have proven that when you first wake in the morning and see a bouquet of flowers it can bring a peaceful and contented feeling that will last throughout the day. Prove it to yourself by setting a unique silk floral arrangement in your bedroom. Flowers brighten a room, bring joy to a home, instill trust in any office and render a feeling of tranquility to share with family, friends or co-workers.The pleasure someone is greet with when they receive a silk floral arrangement is thrilling and exciting to watch and enjoy and you can create that excitement and thrill by sharing your feelings with a loved one.

Perception of Flowers
Everyone has their own way of looking at things, of life, of love, of the beauty in the world around them. Sometimes that perception is through our experiences and sometimes on just the minds eye knowing what feels good and looks right. That is how I feel each time I look at a floral arrangement I have designed and I get a calming feeling from its beauty. Floral designs are a part of my life that make me think of beautiful mountains, spring water and refreshing breezes on a hot summer day, soothing, relaxing and heartening. I cannot pass a flower or floral arrangement in any store, home, office or field without being drawn to it as if by a secret magnet, seeing its beauty and feeling it power pulling me into serenity
There are many ways to create a floral arrangement and display it in your home such as a flower display on the mantel; a towering arrangement on the dinning room table; and end table arrangement that matches the colors in your room; or the kitchen table centerpiece with candles to highlight the meal. A front room window or a cadenza composition in the entranceway draws attention to the area welcoming your guests. Any place in your home can be distinctive and special with flowers that can bring a room to life. I like making floral arrangements with a special purpose to brighten a room or give complementary color and texture adding to a moment with pride. I especially like a door wreath so everyone that enters my home will know to beware of the beautiful flower arrangements that will greet him or her in every room.
Look at my designs, gather your tools and get busy creating and designing a treasure of your own to behold. It is not difficult if you have imagination and panache. If not follow my easy directions that will lead you to success. Have fun with your design that is the basic for enjoying your floral arrangement. Let yourself be free and whimsical, feel the mood of design. Additionally, flower arrangements should be recognized and appreciated so be creative and when finished share your new designs with your friends and family.

Holiday Seasons
“I love this time of the year, the beginning of the holiday seasons, as I call it. In my town as soon as the new school year starts, the holiday decorations go up in all the stores and the shopping starts. Halloween, the first, is one of my favorites. I enjoy the orange, yellow, brown colors of the flowers and decorations that fill the store shelves and craft shops.I have the benefit of decorating my home with all of the traditional colors and bask in the beauty all around me for the whole month. There are always new items to investigate while shopping so I can make changes, create new arrangements, and expand ideas from last year, for a new Halloween celebration. My decorations go up on the first day of October so I can enjoy the floral designs with all my friends. I drag out my Halloween boxes from last year and start pulling out all my beloved treasures to decorate and after I am done, I am off to look for new pieces and creating new designs. I love the pumpkin centerpiece with the orange candle in the middle for my kitchen table. The covered wagon has become my most prize piece with the orange and yellow flowers poking out the back and Mr. Pumpkin setting up front ready to ride. Those beautiful sunflowers with there big brown middle gives me a warm fuzzy when I set them in the middle of a floral arrangement or grace a few of them in my front door wreath to welcome my guest. Each year it is a different wreath because I like to donate last years. I like change from time to time and the yard decorations are just as fulfilling to create as the inside. Each year I add a few new items to please the trick-or-treaters, and I thrill to see there little faces light up when they come to my door and I can tell they are as excited as ever to see the festivities.”
